Replaceable solid carbide blade (2.25 inches by 0.75 inches, or 5.7 cm by 1.9 cm)
Ergonomic molded handle with low profile stainless steel shaft design. Total length of float is 20 inches (51 cm). The low profile, 15 degree floating terminus contains a carbide blade, which is recessed into the shaft.
The flat shaft allows the veterinarian to visualize the angle at which the blade is floating in the rear of the horse's mouth. The 15 degree bend in the end of the shaft facilitates access to the buccal side of the last upper cheek teeth and the caudal ledge of the last upper molars. The carbide blade with a cutting pattern on the pull position is replaceable. Blade can be held in position with gorilla glue (purchased throughout USA and Canada at hardware stores). Remove blade by heating glue with a flame. Wear safety glasses during this heating procedure.
